Andrew is Chief Executive of AMBA, the Association of MBAs. AMBA is a global Organisation, accrediting 256 Business Schools in 75 countries and providing membership services to over 33,000 MBA student and graduate members in 150 countries.
Andrew joined AMBA in 2013, since when AMBA’s accredited Schools portfolio has grown by 25% and AMBA’s student and graduate member network by 500%.
He is also currently Chairman of United Nations PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education). PRME work with 750 Business Schools worldwide, to promote Responsible Management and Sustainability best practices being incorporated into Business School curricula and championing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Andrew commenced his career with Thomson Holidays, the world’s largest travel Tour Operator and progressed to become Marketing and Commercial Director of Thomas Cook, then Sales and Marketing Director of Citibank Diners Club. He subsequently joined the Institute of Directors (IoD) as Chief Operating Officer.
He is an experienced Non-Executive Director, having served as an NXD on AIM-listed and Entrepreneurial start-up boards, in the Commercial Real Estate and Luxury Brands sectors.
Andrew has a strong interest in Global Leadership excellence. He has interviewed over 100 of the world’s most influential Leaders, in the fields of business, politics, sports and entertainment, including Bill Gates, Lady Thatcher, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Jack Welch, Sir Richard Branson and Sir David Attenborough.
Andrew has visited 175 of the world’s 200 countries, on a journey to become the first person to visit all 200 countries and tell the story, in images and words, of the 1000 greatest travel experiences on Earth.
He was educated at Dulwich College and the University of Birmingham in England and the Harvard Business School in the USA.
