Dr. Haris Lambropoulos

President of the Hellenic Development Bank of Investments SA (HDBI, ex TANEO-New Economy Fund). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics (Ph.D. econ. LSE). He is elected faculty member (Assistant Professor with tenure) at the University of Patras. He is Counsellor elected (member of the Board of Directors) of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), actively participating in a variety of activities to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and business and human resources development. Also, he is President of the Institute of Research & Studies of the Union of Hellenic Chambers (UHC), Chief Counsel, Mentor and Coach of The Athens Startup Business Incubator (THEA), Secretary General of ICC (Hellas), Member of the Attica Regional Research & Innovation Council, Member of the Board of Directors of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development etc.

He has acted as Principal Consultant of the World Bank; Adviser to the Ministers of –Education, –Tourism Development and -Health & Social Solidarity, as well as, served as top executive, member of the Board of Directors, and advisor in various companies, funds, organizations, and foundations in the private and the public sector in Greece and abroad. Ηe has participated in official missions abroad as well as in various committees on a national, European, and international level; recipient of various distinctions and scholarships, having extensive voluntary social work and active involvement in public affairs.

 

Mr. Jim Morris

Jim Morris has been Political Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Athens since August 2022.  Before that, he was the Deputy Director in the Office of Russian Affairs at the State Department in Washington DC.  He began his State Department career in 2004 serving overseas in Moscow, Frankfurt, Bishkek, Tbilisi and a Provincial Reconstruction Team in Afghanistan.

In Washington, he has served in the Operations Center, the Office Afghanistan Affairs, and the Board of Examiners.  Before joining the State Department, Jim was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Khabarovsk, Russia and worked for American Councils in Odessa, Ukraine.  He has a MA from Boston College in Russian History and a BA from George Washington University in International Affairs.

Mr. Adonis Georgiadis

Adonis Georgiadis was born on November 6th, 1972, in Athens.
He graduated from the Faculty of History & Archaeology of the School of Philosophy of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
In 1993, he took over the management of publications ‘GEORGIADIS-LIBRARY OF GREEK’. In 1994, he founded the Liberal Studies Center “GREEK EDUCATION”.
Elected MP in Athens B region in the elections of 2007 and 2009 with the LAOS political party.
In February 2012, he joined the Nea Demokratia political party, having resigned from the parliamentary office. Elected with Nea Demokratia in Athens B in the national elections of 2012 and 2015.
In 2011, he was Vice Minister of Shipping in the Government of Lucas Papademos and in 2013 he was appointed Minister of Health in the Government of Antonis Samaras.
On January 18th, 2016, he was appointed one of the two Vice-Presidents of the Nea Demokratia by decision of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the President of Nea Demokratia.
On July 9th, Adonis Georgiadis was appointed as Minister of Development and Investments after the 2019 greek elections.
He is married to Eugenia Manolidou and they have two children, Perseus and Alcaeus.

Mr. Erik Holmgren

Erik Holmgren is the Economic Counselor at U.S. Embassy Athens.  Erik serves as the Ambassador’s principal advisor on economic issues and manages a team of seven U.S. staff and two locally employed staff.  Prior to arriving in Greece in July 2021, Erik served as the Energy, Environment, Science, and Technology Counselor in Mexico City.

Erik has served as Deputy Political Counselor Moscow, Political and Economic Chief Podgorica, as NATO Desk officer in the State Department as well as tours in Kyiv and Lima.  Erik has a J.D. from George Washington University and a B.S./B.A. from University of Wisconsin-Platteville in civil engineering and Spanish.  Erik is originally from Madison Wisconsin.  He is married with three children.

Dr. Spyridon Flogaitis

He is Professor of Administrative Law at the Law School of the University of Athens, Attorney at Law at the High Court and the Council of State of Greece, former President of the United Nations Administrative Tribunal and former Caretaker Alternate Minister for Foreign Affairs (2015) and Former Caretaker Minister of Interior, Greece (in 2007and 2009). He is also an Honorary Fellow at Wolfson College of the University of Cambridge and Doctor Honoris Causa at the NSPSPA in Bucharest, Romania, the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon in Portugal, at the Titu Majorescu Univeristy in Bucharest, Romania, the State University of Mariupol in Ukraine, and the USPEE in Chisinau, Moldavia. He is Vice-President at the Appeals Board of the European Space Agency, Member of the Appeals Board of  EUMETSAT, Member of the Appeals Board of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts. He is Judge at the Administrative Tribunal of EBRD and holds the Chair of the Joint of the Appeals Board at IFAD in the UN. He is former Vice-President of the Organization of Intellectual Property, former Judge at the Supreme Court of Greece, former Arthur Goodhart Professor at the Faculty of Law, Cambridge University, former Yorke Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Faculty of Law in Cambridge University.

He was born in Lefkas (Greece) and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Athens with a degree in Law. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and a PhD in History from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a degree (Diplôme) of the École Pratique des Hautes Etudes-IVème Section, Histoire et Philologie.

He speaks fluently English, French, German, Italian and Greek and is the author of many publications in the area of public law.

He was awarded with the distinction of Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur of the French Republic, the distinction of Cavaliere dell’Ordine di Merito of the Italian Republic, the La Croix d’Officier de l’Ordre du Merite de Hongrie and  was honored as Grande-Oficial da Ordem do Infante D. Henrique from the Portuguese Republic

Ambassador Omar Amer Youssef

Ambassador Omar Amer Youssef has recently assumed his duties as Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Hellenic Republic. He has a long and outstanding diplomatic and international career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt spanning more than three decades. Ambassador Omar Youssef prior his arrival in Greece was Assistant Foreign Minister, Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he also held the position of Assistant Foreign Minister, Chief of Diplomatic Corps.

H.E. Mr. Omar Youssef, served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Austria, and Permanent Representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the International Organizations in Vienna. He also served at the Embassy in Washington, and in Sydney, Australia.

His Excellency has represented Egypt in various International Organizations, and International Conferences. Particularly on Arms Control and Disarmament and Regional Security issues. He was Nuclear Security Sherpa from 2014-2016, Chairman of Arab, and African Group in Vienna and notably, Chair of Group 77 and China (Vienna Chapter).

His Excellency holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Cairo University (1988) and Political Science Diploma from Cairo University (1991).

Ms. Odin Linardatou

Odin Linardatou is a journalist and Head of Communications at ELIAMEP. She studied German and Greek Language and Literature at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has accumulated over 30 years of experience in Greek Public Television as a journalist, TV and radio presenter covering a wide array of topics in the Greek and the EU policy setting, international and foreign affairs, etc. During her long-standing career as an active journalist, she has edited and presented a large number of TV programmes and newscasts, interviewed a significant number of politicians and famous personalities and ensured that the public audience has access to credible and verified information. She has strong experience working with both Greek and international media. Currently, as Head of Communications is responsible for designing, supervising and implementing the communication strategy of ELIAMEP, acting also as the principal media contact for the foundation.

Ms. Valentina Disoska

Valentina Disoska is an entrepreneur, owner and manager of MM Disoski since 2000. It is a company that works in the fields of consulting and software development, multimedia, marketing, online sales and access to finance.

An architect by profession, further educated and certified to work in many other fields, such as business development and startups, youth learning and work, mentoring, project management, corporate social management, green economy, marketing from brand identity to entering foreign markets and many other topics that are compatible and make her an expert in her work. Certificated from various institutions, such as the European Training Foundation, the International Labor Organization, the German Academy for Green Business and many others. According to her, vocational and lifelong education is the most important for career development.

Valentina Disoska is active in society as a fighter for gender equality, specially dedicated to the development of women entrepreneurship. President and founder of the Association of Business Women since 2010, president and founder of the National Platform for Women’s Entrepreneurship, founder of the Balkan Coalition of Business Women, President of Council for women entrepreneurship in city of Skopje, member of several non-governmental organizations, chambers and movements for the improvement of human rights in North Macedonia and the region.

Other achievements of Valentina are Ambassador for Macedonia for the World Organization of Business Women WED; One of the main speakers at the UN Beijing 20 jubilee conference held in Geneva, an expert on entrepreneurial learning at the European Training Foundation – Turin, Expert for development of  National Strategy for Women Entrepreneurship in the Republic of North Macedonia, and many other achievements.
